AFTERCARE FOR TREATMENTS

I always recommend you eat a balanced diet enriched  with fresh fruit, vegetables and drink 1 - 2 litres of mineral water per day for good health and well being.  Remember looking after your body starts from within.

It is recommended for Manicure, Pedicure, Eyelash / Eyebrow tinting and Facials to rebook every 4/6 weeks and Lash Lift usually 6 / 8 weeks to maintain  these results.

The following is a guide on how to maintain your treatment giving you aftercare / home care advice. If you have any questions regarding  aftercare or the following please do not hesitate to contact me.

OPI MANICURE

Wear protective gloves when doing housework and gardening.

Dry hands thoroughly after washing and apply hand cream.

Protect hands in cold weather by wearing gloves.

Use hand cream and cuticle cream / oil before going to bed.

Do not use fingernails to open lids.

Protect weak and brittle nails with a strengthener I  recommend OPI Nail Envy.

OPI PEDICURE

Always cut and file toe nails straight to prevent ingrown toenails.

For tired achy feet soak in sea salt or Epsom salts.

Wear comfortable footwear that fits your feet.

Go barefoot when possible to tone legs and feet.

Moisturise feet at night after bath / shower this will benefit your feet and whole body.

EYE TREATMENTS

No heat treatments for 24 hours ie: sauna, sunbeds or swimming.

Avoid eye make up for 12 hours.

If redness / irritation occurs, apply a damp cotton wool compress.

Effects will diminish in 4/6 weeks as hair grows out.

Strong sunlight will fade the tint.

Apply coconut oil or a eyelash serum to lashes at bedtime to moisturise and condition them.

LASH LIFT

Do not get your eye lashes wet for the first 24 hours

Do not use harsh products on your eyes/lashes.

No heat treatments for 24 hours.

No eye make up for 24 hours.

Do not use eyelash curlers.

Avoid waterproof mascara's.

Swimming should be avoided for at least 24hrs.

No other facial beauty treatments for 24hrs.

Apply coconut oil or a eyelash serum to lashes at bedtime to moisturise and condition them.

Remember, the lash lift procedure is similar to a hair perm, and as such the hair must be kept well nourished and treated delicately to avoid breakage / weakening.

WAXING

It’s normal immediately after your wax for a little bit of redness and a prickly heat type rash to appear. This should disappear after a few hours and is normally due to a histamine reaction. Because waxing removes the hair at the root, it’s important that you keep the area clean and bacteria free.

No Heat treatments for 24/48 hours.

No perfumed products for 24/48 hours.

No fake tan for 24 hours.

Wear loose clothing for 24/48 hours.

No swimming in chlorinated pool for 24/48 hours.

Bathe in luke warm water for 24/48 hours.

No exfoliation for 48/72 hours.

No make up for 24 hours if a facial waxing.

If any spots or rashes persist for more than a week, or become infected, Please consult with your GP.

If the aftercare advice given is followed the skin will return to normal within 24 hours. If the reaction is still present after this time or worsens, it may be that you have had an allergic reaction to the wax, and you should seek medical advice from your GP.

MAKE-UP

Drink plenty of water to rehydrate skin tissues.

Follow skin care routine cleanse, tone and moisturise twice daily.

Always wear a primer under make up to give a flawless finish.

To ensure lipstick stays on all day apply 1 coat and blot with powder then apply 2nd coat.

Ensure you remove make up before you go to bed.

I recommend an eyelash tint and eyebrow tint every 4/6 weeks to frame the face.
